An Evening of Bridal Inspiration for a Good Cause!

On Friday 30th October the first ever Mathilda Rose Fashion Show took place at the stunning Hendall Manor Barns. More than 50 brides came along with their guests and were welcomed with a glass or two of fizz (hey, it’s a bride-to-be’s prerogative!), canapés and live music from harpist Ellen Smith.  The atmosphere was so exciting and there was a definite buzz in the air!

Following the reception guests were invited through to a dream dress catwalk where the 17th century barn had been transformed into a fashionable extravaganza! Opulent gold eucalptus floral displays created by Flowerbug Designs adorned the candle lit catwalk whilst from the ceiling hung an abundance of pretty white paper lanterns (Southern Events with The Hanging Lantern Company).

The staging and lighting had been professionally custom designed for the event to compliment the barn’s lovely rough sandstone walls and the tall vaulted roof by Kave theatre services; highly acclaimed in London for producing some of the most high profile events in the fashion calendar.

The models shimmied down the catwalk in beautiful classic favourites along with sneaky peeks at new 2016 collections from Maggie Sottero, Johanna Hehir and Stephanie Allin. All choreographed by award winning Piers Gielgud from The Gielgud Academy of Performing Arts. Hair and make up was breathtakingly beautiful by TWIA national winner Kirsty McCall (and her pro team!) and perfectly complimented the custom headpieces designed especially for our event by Lomax & Skinner.

During the fashion shows guests were given the opportunity to bid for some absolutely amazing prizes in an auction of promises! All proceeds from the auction were donated to local hospice; St Peter and St James the final figure expected to be close to £4,000!!
